Jerr-Dan Industrial Rollback Carriers
The Jerr-Dan family of industrial carriers is the choice for professionals who demand reliable performance, low maintenance and serious muscle. These industrial car carriers come in 5 ton, 7.5 ton, 10 ton and 15 ton models. Jerr-Dan rollback carriers are engineered and built for the most challenging tasks; these carriers deliver the ultimate in versatility, reliability and performance.
Only Jerr-Dan uses "no-lube" high performance, replaceable slide pad system to further limit the need for expensive, time-consuming maintenance. Jerr-Dan carriers Last Longer and need less maintenance because of Jerr-Dan's exclusive No Lube technology. All major pivot points are greaseless, and plated pins and composite bushings never seize or rust. Jerr-Dan carriers offer the industry's lowest load angles. Plus the aluminum Pioneer carrier uses Steelbeam technology that delivers less deflection than any other carriers in their class.
Jerr-Dan's decks, available from 19' to 28' or 19' to 21' in aluminum offer best in class workmanship and paint finish. No other manufacturer can stand up like Jerr-Dan.
The 5 ton steel car carrier offers the following: standard bolt on steel headboard, 8,000 lbs. hi-speed worm gear winch, W6 x 12 lb/ ft Steel main deck beams, reinforced low-profile tapered approach tip, Steel mini I-Beam cross members on 12" centers and 6" x 6" Pintle Hitch Mtg Plate, Hydraulic Up/ Down, Hydraulic In/ Out.
The 7.5 ton steel industrial car carrier offers 0", 2" and 4" rub rails, stationary deluxe headboards, 6" removable rails, and dual key slots down center, dual key slots down rub rail 2 rows, each side 1" x 5" center and beam plate- HD build up. The rear dock stabilizer with 6" x6" pintle hitch Mtg plate, which is available manual or hydraulic in/ out.
The 10 ton steel equipment options include; upper and lower work lights right next to the winch, a variety of light bar packages which include stop, turn and work lights, S/S door tool boxes available in 36", 48" and 60" boxes, standard tri-axle sub frame for transporter 28' decks, and air shift PTO. The 15 ton steel includes: deluxe bolt-on headboard with screen, 20,000 lb worm gear winch with remote air free spool release and 5/8' diameter x 75' long winch cable, W8 x 21lb/ ft steel main deck beams, reinforced low-profile tapered approach tip, steel angle flush style rubrails, FMVSS light group with wiring harness and Packard weather pack connectors, and Heavy Duty deck lock and hold down systems.
The recommended chassis requirements per Jerr- Dan tow truck dealers is a minimum GVWR of 19,500 lbs for the 5 ton steel, minimum GVWR of 25,500 lbs for the 7.5 ton steel, minimum 33,000 lbs for the 10 ton steel and 46,000 lbs for the 15 ton steel. The frame height for these rigs ranges from 31" to 42" depending on the transporter specified. It is suggested that all Jerr-Dan tow trucks use Jerr-Dan parts from the largest Jerr-Dan parts distributer Crawford Truck Sales Inc. of Lancaster, Massachusetts.
